How do I get an article or a book that's not available at Camp?
The Library staff can request physical books or full text articles from other libraries via Interlibrary Loan (ILL).
From the QuickSearch online catalog: If the Library doesn't have access to the full text of an article or if we don't own a physical copy of a book, look for the link says "Interlibrary Loan - Request this item from another library."
The InterLibrary Loan Request page will appear. Click the Begin button.
Fill out the information requested and click Submit. The Library staff will receive the request via email. Someone from the Library will communicate with you about your request.
From a database such as Ebsco or ProQuest: If full text to an article is not available, look for the "More Information" button in the description of the article. You will be led to the same "InterLibrary Loan Request" page as above. Follow the directions above.
In addition, you can call the Library about your request at 757 569 6741 (Franklin, M-F) or 757 925 6345 (Suffolk, M-Th). You can also send an email to library@pdc.edu. Thank you!
