Can I download Microsoft Office for free?

Yes, students, faculty, and staff can login to http://office.vccs.edu and download a copy of the Microsoft Office suite.  It should work for both Macs and PCs.  The programs are active as long as you are enrolled as a student.  Once your account is no longer active, the suite will be automatically disabled on your computer.
