How do I request items through Interlibrary Loan?

Answer

Request an article or book using our Interlibrary Loan Request Form.

Our Interlibrary Loan policies are:

  • You must be a PVCC student, faculty, or staff member to request items through Interlibrary Loan.
  • The request must be for college-related research (no personal requests allowed).
  • Request up to 6 articles and 3 books at one time.  Additional requests may not be made until the other items are delivered.
  • No requests for textbooks or any required texts for a course are allowed.
  • If a book is damaged or lost, the requestor is responsible for the fee charged by the lending library.

In addition, students do have access to UVA's libraries.  If you need a book immediately and UVA has it, then you can go to UVA to borrow the book.  Search UVA's catalog before visiting their library.

Our local public library is called Jefferson-Madison Regional Library (JMRL).  You can also borrow books from them.  Search JMRL's catalog to see if they have the book you need.
