How are the books arranged on the SWCC Library's shelves?

The books in the Main Collection, Reference Collection, Video, Oversized, New Releases, and other special collections throughout the library are arranged by the Library of Congress classification system.  This system uses a series of call numbers and letters that are assigned to an individual item based on subject.  Materials located in the Juvenile section are arranged using the Dewey Decimal classification system.  For assistance locating materials, please check with the SWCC Library Staff at the Circulation or Reference Desks.
